ImTOO DAT Converter is a video converter for Windows. It accepts MPG, MPEG, MPA, DAT, and VOB files and it can convert those files to a variety of other formats. The supported output formats are: 3GP, 3GP2, AVI, DivX, FLV, M4A, MP3, MP4, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.264, MPEG-4, and WMV.
If you have a camcorder that records video in one of the supported formats, or if you are ripping VCDs or SVCDs, then this converter will come in very handy. Other than the fact that it supports only specific formats, this works like every other ImTOO Converter. It supports hardware acceleration if you have one of the required GPUs from Nvidia. It has a resizable video player and good output format support. It also has a feature that allows you to adjust the processing power used by the converter and to shut down your computer after the conversion is done.
It is also a very pleasant application in terms of looks. I love this graphical user interface. It just has everything I think I would need from a converter.
In terms of performance, I didn't experience any problems, and the files that I tested it with were successfully converted into the default MPEG-4 profile.
